How does HYLITE Program Work

  1. The HYLITE Program is developed and implemented collaboratively by a consortium of 10 LPTKs in Indonesia
  2. The 10 LPTKs employ one curriculum of HYLITE Program which has the load of 82 credit semester including professional education courses for teachers, and physical education course.
  3. The learning model employed is Hybrid Model:The use of printed materials; the use of audiovisual materials; The use of  web-based course; The use of face-to-face meeting: residential and visiting tutors
  4. The development of course materials is done collaboratively by the consortium of 10 LPTKs
  5. The credits earned from HYLITE Program is transferable within the consortium of 10 LPTKs
  6. The HYLITE Program is supported by information system employed by the consortium of 10 LPTKs
  7. The implementation of the HYLITE Program is based on a series of operational guidelines developed by the consortium of 10 LPTKs
  8. The residential period is carried out for one month at the beginning of every semester. During the residential period, students will be engaged in various tutorial activities, and also sit in examination of the previous semester.
  9. After the residential period, students will go home, and study independently using the available learning resources, i.e., the printed materials, the audiovisual materials, and web-based courses which are accessible through the ICT Centres or any internet cafe. Facilitation for students' learning process is provided through face-to-face tutorial sessions during the tutors' visit to the students study centre, online interaction using the five online initiations, and or synchronous interaction in the form of teleconference.
